Pssssst. Yes, you. Come chat with me for a minute.
I saw you eyeing that cozy session announcement, this is your sign to say YES.
Be honest, you totally saw the call for cozy boudoir and thought “that is right up my alley.”
You’re right. It has your name written all over it. I can tell just by looking at you that you’re thinking of an outfit, a vibe, and bringing your favorite book.
“Wow, I want to do that!”
Trust me you do.
And right now is the perfect moment to hop on this last call reminder. I have only a couple spots left and I want YOU in my studio.
Don’t wait for the next themed session, THIS is the one I caught you eyeing. This is one you’ve pictured in your head all this time. Not the stark and bold boudoir you usually see, but the softer and warmer session that invites you to relax and snuggle up. The type of session that allows a softer expectation, one that feels perfect to kick off the start of fall.

Fall is prime time for the family photos with the matching flannels and scarves and boots.
Absolutely, so cute.
But let me ask you this: looking through your camera roll, how many photos are of your family? Mhm. And your kids? Okay okay…your pets? What about your best friend, mother, or sister?
Annnnnd…where are you?
How often are you behind the camera?
How often are you the main character in the little stories your camera rolls are telling?
All of us are guilty of deleting photos we don’t feel like we were “perfect” in.
The super cool restaurant we wanted a nice picture in had the WORST lighting and the next day that photo our date took of us was promptly deleted.
That picture in front of the new mural downtown? DELETE.
We got a new outfit that deserved a picture? DELETE, and the outfit had to go too.
We put SO much pressure on ourselves to be perfect in every frame.
Maybe you’ve only kept older photos of yourself from when your body looked different.
You’re actively stopping your own storytelling because of feelings of inadequacy.
I totally understand.
But I want to invite you to write yourself back into the narrative.
I am not asking for a new outfit or a trip to the hairdresser before your session.
I am not even asking for a full face of make up.
What I want for you is to walk out of your house in the outfit you feel comfortable in, you get a drive by yourself to jam out and hype yourself up, and you get a whole photo session to yourself where you are LITERALLY the star of the show.
Not your dog with the bandana that matches your flannel, or even your cute kids with the silly faces.
A space and time where you have no worries about making everyone around you presentable and smiling.
It’s just you. Your story. Your vibe.
You are allowed to want that.
You’re allowed to have an entire collection of photos with just you as the main character.
To have photos of yourself on your camera roll. To take up space, and to feel beautiful.
A gentle nudge if you needed one

Maybe you have been eyeing boudoir photography for a while. You type in “boudoir photographer near me” and what pops are photos of women in the lacey bold lingerie, bright lipstick and STUNNING poses.
And while you think those pictures are absolutely gorgeous they just don’t call to you, they’re not your style.
I agree that very often those are the photos used to portray what boudoir photography is.
It is so much more!
Those photos you are seeing are stories of women who overcame something and want to celebrate. A new life circumstance, marital status, a health journey or mental battle. Some take the photos to share with the world, or to surprise a partner.
Some women take them just for themselves.
Some want to learn to appreciate their postpartum bodies.
And some simply just do it for the experience and fun!
Something I think needs to be talked about more is that there is a boudoir session out there everyone.
There are a lot more options than the lace and lips, dark lighting and silk.
Boudoir is about storytelling and no two are going to be the same. That’s the beauty of it.
So if you’re not booking a session because you feel like your reasoning isn’t good enough, body isn’t ready, hair isn’t the right length or you think you’ll feel self conscious, do it anyway.
There is never anything we feel one hundred percent prepared for, like all the stars have fully aligned. But we press on and we do things anyway.
Boudoir isn’t asking for perfect self confidence, self love, or self understanding. It’s just inviting you to show up as you are and tell your story. We ALL have a story to tell. Art to create with our bodies.
You are deserving of being in the photograph.
These cozier sessions i’m offering are an absolutely perfect way to dip your toes into boudoir.
I hope to see you in my studio with your favorite sweater, or your husbands flannel, or the messy bun and a good book.
Don’t wait
I wouldn’t be telling you any of this if I didn’t mean it.
Take it from me, the one whose whole job is wrapped up in building confidence in other women.
I have worked with enough women to understand the way our brains hold us back. I understand the emotional impact boudoir can have on us. It can be so daunting to try something that is vulnerable right off the bat with someone we don’t know very well, and I hold space for that.
Booking with me not only ensures you feel empowered and sexy and comfortable during the process, it also means you know you will be heard and truly seen throughout the experience.
I am here to answer all questions, to listen to your fears, to hype you up, to give you a time out by yourself, to make sure you feel safe, and to ensure you have really stunning photos!!
You can trust that I can slow down what felt like a hurried morning getting out the door, capture the oversized sweater on your body in a way that complements the curves, and take the moments of your life leading up to this point and turn them into an empowering story.
Don’t wait until next fall. It will turn into the NEXT fall. We know ourselves. It’s easier to say no to things and it will ALWAYS feel that way.
But one yes will change that. One brave yes leads to another yes and soon you’ll be checking off all the things you’ve wanted to experience in your life and haven’t yet.
Just say yes. Get on my books while I still have a couple openings. You’ll walk out of the studio feeling refreshed and vibrant as the leaves on the trees. You’ll see your photos after and be so proud of yourself for choosing you, being the main character in a photo.
If this feels like it was written for you, it was.
I have three spots left before closing the books for this seasonal shoot.
I want you here, you want to be here. No further thinking needed.
Xoxo,
Allison
